About This Role

American Express is seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join their team as an Analyst - Data Science. This is a prestigious opportunity for graduates with a background in Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or Math to work on world-class risk and fraud models.

As an Analyst - Data Science, you will be part of the Credit and Fraud Risk (CFR) or Decision Science teams, where you will use advanced analytics and machine learning to detect fraud, manage credit risk, and drive profitable business growth.

Requirements

Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Operations Research
0-30 months of experience in Analytics or Big Data (Freshers can apply)
Proficiency in Python, R, or SAS
Strong knowledge of SQL, Hive, or Spark
Understanding of ML Algorithms (Decision Trees, Neural Models, Gradient Boosting)
Innovative problem solver with the ability to learn quickly and work independently
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

Develop, deploy, and validate predictive models using Machine Learning
Analyze large amounts of data to derive business insights and solve complex problems
Leverage Big Data tools (Hive, Spark) to create innovative solutions for risk management
Work with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven strategies
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business opportunities and challenges
Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data science
