About This Role

Cisco is seeking a highly motivated and talented Software Test Engineer to join our team in Bangalore. As a Software Test Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing tests to ensure the quality of our software products.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in computer science, excellent problem-solving skills, and experience with software testing methodologies. You will work closely with our development team to identify and prioritize testing requirements, develop and execute test plans, and report defects and issues.

Requirements

B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, Electronics or related fields
Strong foundation in computer science and software testing principles
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Experience with software testing methodologies and tools
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Familiarity with agile development methodologies

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute tests to ensure the quality of software products
Work closely with development team to identify and prioritize testing requirements
Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts
Report defects and issues, and collaborate with development team to resolve them
Participate in agile development methodologies and contribute to the improvement of testing processes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and high-quality product releases
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in software testing
