About This Role

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking an Application Support Engineer to provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for IT Manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting IT applications in a manufacturing environment and be comfortable working in a global enterprise.

Key Responsibilities: The Application Support Engineer will lead root cause analysis, manage configuration changes, and enhance drive application. They will also collaborate with IT globals, business, and vendor teams to implement improvements and solve issues.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
Technical skills: experience supporting IT applications in manufacturing, MES, SCADA, historian, or batch-management systems
Regulatory and GxP-validated environments experience
Analytical skills
Communication skills
Interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for IT Manufacturing
Lead root cause analysis, manage configuration changes, and enhance drive application
Collaborate with IT globals, business, and vendor teams to implement improvements and solve issues
Support upgrades, patching, and validation activities aligned with GxP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and data-integrity principles
Deliver user training, onboarding, and support documentation
