About This Role

Cisco is seeking a highly motivated and talented Software Engineer to join our Data Center Business Unit in Bangalore. As a Software Engineer, you will design and develop system software for Ethernet Switch products, working on critically important infrastructure that enables world-class multi-layered Nexus switches.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn a wide range of core Ethernet Technologies with architectural exposure to craft and develop Ethernet Switching as applied to both Public and Private cloud infrastructure. You will work with a team of experienced engineers who are dedicated to driving innovation in networking technologies.

Requirements

B.E / B.Tech / M.E / M.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field
Strong C/C++ skills
Passion for networking and software development
Excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with Ethernet Switching products and technologies

Responsibilities

Design and develop system software for Ethernet Switch products
Work on critically important infrastructure that enables world-class multi-layered Nexus switches
Develop SDKs for next-generation network ASICs
Collaborate with hardware teams to develop and test Ethernet Switching products
Participate in the development of ground-breaking Ethernet Switching products
Learn and apply core Ethernet Technologies with architectural exposure
Work with a team of experienced engineers to drive innovation in networking technologies
