The company is seeking a Trainee to join its Hyderabad office, where the successful candidate will be responsible for cash application, reconciliation, and financial reporting, among other tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
  • 0 to 1 years of experience in cash applications, accounts receivable, or order-to-cash functions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Flexible with shift timings and capable of supporting multiple regional operations
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Team player with a proactive approach toward process improvement
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial and customer data

Responsibilities

  • Cash application and reconciliation: accurately apply customer payments and investigate and resolve unapplied or misapplied cash items
  • Discrepancy and issue resolution: identify short payments, overpayments, and unidentified deductions and collaborate with Collections, Billing, and Treasury teams to resolve payment issues promptly
  • Financial reporting and analysis: assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly cash application reports and support the month-end close process
  • Process improvement and standardization: document and maintain standard operating procedures related to cash application and participate in process enhancement initiatives
  • Risk and compliance: ensure adherence to company policies and internal controls and maintain confidentiality of financial and customer data
  • Provide analysis and insights on payment behavior and reconciliation status
  • Contribute to audit requirements and provide supporting documentation when required
