The company is seeking a Trainee to join its Hyderabad office, where the successful candidate will be responsible for cash application, reconciliation, and financial reporting, among other tasks.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
0 to 1 years of experience in cash applications, accounts receivable, or order-to-cash functions
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Flexible with shift timings and capable of supporting multiple regional operations
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Team player with a proactive approach toward process improvement
Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial and customer data

Responsibilities

Cash application and reconciliation: accurately apply customer payments and investigate and resolve unapplied or misapplied cash items
Discrepancy and issue resolution: identify short payments, overpayments, and unidentified deductions and collaborate with Collections, Billing, and Treasury teams to resolve payment issues promptly
Financial reporting and analysis: assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly cash application reports and support the month-end close process
Process improvement and standardization: document and maintain standard operating procedures related to cash application and participate in process enhancement initiatives
Risk and compliance: ensure adherence to company policies and internal controls and maintain confidentiality of financial and customer data
Provide analysis and insights on payment behavior and reconciliation status
Contribute to audit requirements and provide supporting documentation when required
