About This Role

HPE is seeking a highly motivated and talented Graduate Software Engineer to join their team. As a Graduate Software Engineer, you will contribute to assignments of limited scope by applying technical concepts and theoretical knowledge acquired through specialized training, education, or previous experience.

You will be responsible for designing portions of engineering solutions, implementing established test plans, and developing understanding of and relationship with internal and outsourced development partners. You will also participate as a member of a project team to develop reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
0-2 years of experience in software development
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Basic understanding of material properties and hardware and electrical component design
Good written and verbal communication skills
Experience with engineering design tools and software packages
Knowledge of Cloud Architectures, Cross Domain Knowledge, Design Thinking, Development Fundamentals, DevOps, Distributed Computing, Microservices Fluency, Full Stack Development, Security-First Mindset, User Experience (UX)

Responsibilities

Designs portions of engineering solutions utilizing multiple engineering disciplines for products, systems, software, and solutions
Implements established test plans for existing designs, including validation of mechanical, electrical, software, and other engineering specifications and requirements
Develops understanding of and relationship with internal and outsourced development partners on engineering design and development
Participates as a member of project team of other engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions
Contributes to assignments of limited scope by applying technical concepts and theoretical knowledge acquired through specialized training, education, or previous experience
Acts as team member by providing information, analysis, and recommendations in support of team efforts
Exercises independent judgment within defined parameters
