About This Role

Moody's is seeking a highly motivated and talented Associate Software Engineer to join their team in Gurugram. As an Associate Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on complex software development projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain software solutions related to financial data and risk analytics platforms.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in computer science, with a good understanding of object-oriented programming concepts, core software engineering principles, and experience in software development through academics or projects. Proficiency in Python or other modern programming languages is highly preferred.

Requirements

Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and core software engineering principles
Basic knowledge of relational databases and data-driven applications
Proficiency in Python or other modern programming languages (Python is highly preferred)
Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS will be a plus
Exposure to tools such as dbt, Airflow, and Jinja is beneficial
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Good communication skills, both written and verbal

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain software solutions related to financial data and risk analytics platforms
Support the development of analytical and data products for Fixed Income and Commercial Real Estate solutions
Build scalable and maintainable systems using object-oriented design principles
Work with relational databases for data management and processing
Collaborate with team members to improve existing products and develop new features
Identify and fix technical issues across applications and data workflows
Continuously learn and adopt new tools, technologies, and frameworks
