About This Role

United Airlines is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate Analyst to join their Operations Performance & Analytics team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Inflight Resource Planning and Scheduling teams to collect and analyze data related to inflight crew staffing and operational performance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data structures and experience in data visualization using tools such as Spotfire, Tableau, or similar platforms. They will also have a good command of Microsoft Excel and strong data analysis and modeling skills.

The role requires a strong analytical mindset, technical expertise, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining reports and dashboards on a regular basis and collaborating with stakeholders across different levels of the organization.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
0–1 year of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or data engineering
Strong understanding of data structures and how different data sets relate to each other
Experience in data visualization using tools such as Spotfire, Tableau, or similar platforms
Good command of Microsoft Excel with strong data analysis and modeling skills
Ability to write queries and procedures using technologies like SQL, Python, or other modern programming languages
Capability to understand business requirements and design data-driven solutions that deliver measurable results

Responsibilities

Provide analytics and reports to inflight leadership for daily and monthly operations
Perform ad-hoc data analysis and data mining as required
Automate manual reports and processes to improve efficiency
Support operational performance and resource management activities for flight attendants
Create dashboards, reports, tools, and visual presentations for leadership, frontline managers, and business teams
Maintain reports and dashboards on a regular basis and collaborate with stakeholders across different levels of the organization
Identify process improvement opportunities and support analytics development across the organization
