Honeywell is seeking a highly motivated and talented Software Engineer I to join their team in Bangalore and Hyderabad. As a Software Engineer I, you will have the opportunity to work on complex challenges in automation, aviation, and energy transition.

This role is ideal for engineering graduates with a strong technical background in Java, C#, or Python. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software applications, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
Basic programming/scripting knowledge in Python
Hands-on understanding of GitHub (repos, branches, PRs, code review basics)
Exposure to GitHub Actions (workflows, jobs/steps, runners, secrets, artifacts)
Familiarity with Linux fundamentals (files, permissions, basic commands)
Understanding of CI/CD concepts (build, test, deploy stages)
Good communication skills and willingness to learn

Responsibilities

Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
Automate repetitive operational tasks using Python
Maintain repositories, branching practices, and release workflows using GitHub
Create and manage build/test/deploy workflows for applications
Write and maintain documentation (runbooks, pipeline docs, deployment steps)
Assist with monitoring/logging setup and basic incident troubleshooting
Collaborate with developers to improve build reliability and deployment consistency
