About This Role

iCIMS is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing ETL/ELT data pipelines, as well as supporting data ingestion and transformation workflows on various platforms.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, with experience in SQL, relational data concepts, and programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala. They will also have excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to learn quickly and work independently.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
Knowledge of data engineering technology stacks and data pipeline concepts
Experience with SQL and relational data concepts
Programming experience in Python, Java, Scala, or similar languages
Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms
Ability to learn quickly, take ownership, and work independently with guidance
Problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

Assist in building, maintaining, and optimizing ETL/ELT data pipelines
Support data ingestion and transformation workflows on platforms like Azure, Snowflake, Amazon S3, and Redshift
Write and maintain SQL for data transformation, validation, reconciliation, and analytics
Contribute to data solutions following medallion architecture principles
Assist with data modeling, data profiling, parsing, and data migration activities
Monitor data pipelines and help identify data quality issues, root causes, and remediation strategies
Develop and maintain basic automated tests and data reconciliation scripts
