About This Role

Red Hat is seeking a highly motivated and talented Associate Software/Maintenance Engineer Trainee to join our team. As a Trainee, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge enterprise solutions like Java, JEE, Linux, Kubernetes, and Cloud Computing.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology (Computer Science or IT), Science/Computer Applications, or equivalent
Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Golang, Javascript, and JS Frameworks
Familiarity with Linux, containers, CI/CD, and MySQL/Postgres
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and version control systems
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work in a collaborative and inclusive environment
Red Hat certifications like RHCSA, RHCE, OpenShift (DO180, DO280) are a plus

Responsibilities

Implement features, fix bugs, and write clean, maintainable code
Develop unit/integration tests and contribute to automation
Collaborate with mentors, senior engineers, QE, Product, and open-source communities
Build and maintain automated test suites and CI/CD pipelines
Learn new technologies such as AI/ML, Containers, and Cloud
Participate in code reviews and ensure product quality
Work with platform infrastructure, including Kubernetes/OpenShift and Linux fundamentals
