About This Role

Standard Chartered is inviting applications for the position of Associate – QA and Test Engineering. This opportunity is open to fresh graduates with qualifications such as B.E, B.Tech, B.Sc, M.E, M.Tech, or M.Sc.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of software testing and quality assurance, with experience in API automation tools like Rest Assured and Postman, UI automation using Selenium, and programming in Java.

As a QA and Test Engineering Associate, you will be responsible for creating and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts, performing API testing, and identifying and reporting defects.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
ISTQB certification (or an equivalent testing certification)
Experience with API automation tools like Rest Assured and Postman
Knowledge of UI automation using Selenium
Programming skills in Java
Understanding of testing frameworks and API security testing
Basic understanding of banking domain applications

Responsibilities

Understand the company’s business model and testing strategy
Work within Agile software development methodologies
Create and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts
Perform API testing (REST & SOAP)
Identify and report defects and coordinate with development teams
Support change management and release processes
Gain awareness of the retail banking environment and the broader market landscape
